e² is now hiring staff for the summer and 2025-2026 academic year! We’re looking for passionate and driven student leaders to help make the work we do possible.

For all applications, please submit them through THIS GOOGLE FORM. Refer to the job descriptions to find the correct position you would like to apply for. Applicants will need to provide the following items in their application:

  1. Resume and Cover Letter (examples here)

  2. Short answer questions (found in the Google Form)

  3. Two strong references (names, phone, and emails to serve as references regarding abilities [not letters of recommendation!])

  4. Current class, finals, summer, and fall schedule of availability

Co-chair

We’re hiring two co-chairs to lead and facilitate e² meetings, programs, and operations. The co-chairs will represent the e² center to the UC community, the media, and the public at large. Applicants should have prior leadership experience sitting on e²’s Board of Directors and with Student-Initiated Retention and Outreach programming.

Start Date: July, 2025
Compensation: BYA ($250/week)

Office Manager

We’re hiring two office managers to maintain e²’s center and its daily operations. The office managers will work toward creating an inviting and welcoming environment for all community members. Applicants should have exemplary organization, communication, and planning skills.

Summer start date: July, 2025

Academic year start date: Fall, 2025
Compensation: $19/hour

Student Technology Specialist (Previously known as GDIT)

We’re hiring one student technology specialist (Previously known as GDIT) staff member to manage our office technology and create a dynamic online presence for e² that uplifts our outreach and retention programming. Applicants should have strong graphic design or illustration skills, be proficient in developing social media posts, and be both technologically and digitally literate.

Student Technology Specialist applicants must include 2 to 3 samples of their best graphic design work in their application.

Start date: Fall, 2025
Compensation: $19/hour

Program Coordinator

We’re hiring one program coordinator to put on events throughout the academic year that promote critical thinking and dialogue that reaffirms students’ dedication to their education and communities. Applicants should have outstanding time management skills, have a basic understanding of budgets, and can think strategically about current cultural, political, and/or educational topics to create relevant programs.

Start date: Fall, 2025
Compensation: $19/hour

JUSTICE Program Coordinator

We’re hiring one JUSTICE program coordinator to facilitate the development and implementation of JUSTICE, e²’s overnight college-prep and transition program for incoming UCSC students. Applicants should have prior experience coordinating an outreach program and feel confident creating detailed itineraries, budgets, and evaluations.

Position Period: July 2025 - End of August 2025

JUSTICE CEM

We’re hiring four JUSTICE Critical Engagement Mentors (CEMs) to work alongside the JUSTICE instructor to ensure the successful execution of the class curriculum. The CEMs will provide input on the effectiveness of the curriculum, observe the students’ understanding of information, and provide feedback on students’ written assignments. Applicants should have exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.

CEM applicants must submit a writing sample of their best work with their application. Writing samples should be 5-10 pages in length.

Position Period: End of July 2025 - End of August 2025 (2 weeks)

JUSTICE RAM

We’re hiring four JUSTICE Residential Assistant Mentors (RAMs) to work alongside the JUSTICE program coordinator to ensure that participants follow all JUSTICE programming policies throughout the entirety of the program. RAMs will remain in the residential halls with participants during their stay to provide any necessary chaperoning and uphold dorm rules and community agreements. Applicants should have prior experience in leadership roles focused on mentorship and community building.
