Community Unified Student Network (CUSN)

CUSN is a peer program dedicated, but not exclusive to the Asian-American/ Pacific Islander (AA/PI) community at UC Santa Cruz.

[Pronounced “cousin”]

As the enrollment rates of AA/PI students increase at UCSC, their presence and voices, needs and concerns increasingly impact the larger campus community

CUSN offers AA/PI students opportunities to become involved in the community, resources to enhance academic performance, and a venue in which to create student networks. It is dedicated to creating a safe space for academic excellence and leadership development by building long and lasting communities of diverse AA/PI students.

CUSN strives to serve the cultural needs of this community in hopes of educating members, non-members, and allies of the AA/PI community regarding cultural awareness and its significance.

Alyssa Vang

Third year, Intensive Psychology (she/her)

I'm CUSN's CUIP for this year which means I organize safe spaces for, but not exclusive to, the AA/PI (Asian American/Pacific Islander) community here at UCSC to the best of my abilities and with the help of e²! We specialize in retention and making sure our POC communities have the academic, social, and cultural resources they need to complete their journey through higher education. Here's a little bit about me; I love to cook, watch anime, and play video games!
