Community Unified Student Network (CUSN)

CUSN is a peer program dedicated, but not exclusive to the Asian-American/ Pacific Islander (AA/PI) community at UC Santa Cruz.

[Pronounced “cousin”]

As the enrollment rates of AA/PI students increase at UCSC, their presence and voices, needs and concerns increasingly impact the larger campus community

CUSN offers AA/PI students opportunities to become involved in the community, resources to enhance academic performance, and a venue in which to create student networks. It is dedicated to creating a safe space for academic excellence and leadership development by building long and lasting communities of diverse AA/PI students.

CUSN strives to serve the cultural needs of this community in hopes of educating members, non-members, and allies of the AA/PI community regarding cultural awareness and its significance.

CUSN Lead Retention Coordinator

Matthew Morimoto

Second year, Psychology (he/him)

With my core team, I am dedicated to having the university hear AAPI students' concerns and supporting them by hosting retention-based events to ensure that AAPI students and non-AAPI students have access to the right tools and resources needed to graduate from UCSC. This is my first year working with e², and I am incredibly excited! My favorite pastime is to explore Santa Cruz.
