Community Unified Student Network (CUSN)
CUSN is a peer program dedicated, but not exclusive to the Asian-American/ Pacific Islander (AA/PI) community at UC Santa Cruz.
[Pronounced “cousin”]
As the enrollment rates of AA/PI students increase at UCSC, their presence and voices, needs and concerns increasingly impact the larger campus community
CUSN offers AA/PI students opportunities to become involved in the community, resources to enhance academic performance, and a venue in which to create student networks. It is dedicated to creating a safe space for academic excellence and leadership development by building long and lasting communities of diverse AA/PI students.
CUSN strives to serve the cultural needs of this community in hopes of educating members, non-members, and allies of the AA/PI community regarding cultural awareness and its significance.
CUSN Lead Retention Coordinator
Ava Kim
2nd year, Global and Community Health + Legal Studies Minor (she/her)
As e²'s CUSN Lead Retention Coordinator, I am responsible for facilitating core meetings and delegating tasks by assessing student needs while working alongside other lead retention coordinators as a collective. Additionally, I work with other core members in connecting with adjacent spaces to keep them informed of our programs and events. I strive to ensure CUSN is welcoming and presented as a resource for the community. I enjoy surfing and running, or basically any activity outdoors. In my downtime, I cuddle with my kitty and play my favorite songs on guitar.
