We are proud to present this year’s Changemakers event: Resisting Hopelessness, Shaping Our Future Through Love, featuring special guest speaker Dr. Cornel West!💡

A respected leader and intellectual, Dr. West is currently the Bonhoffer chair and professor at the Union Theological Seminary in New York and Professor Emeritus at Princeton University. He is dedicated to engaging diverse audiences and advancing the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., with a focus on truth-telling and the pursuit of love and justice.

There will be signed book drawings for “Democracy Matters“ by Dr. Cornel West! 15 copies will be given out at Changemakers!

This special event is sponsored by engaging education (e2), a student-initiated outreach and retention center for student engagement and academic excellence. Since 2004, engaging education has designed and produced outstanding programs that support the recruitment and retention of young people from historically under-resourced communities. As part of its mission to provide a purposeful, transformative, and relevant educational experiences for all students, engaging education hosts an annual Changemakers event that features national social justice leaders. engaging education is honored to have Dr. Cornel West as its 2026 Changemaker speaker.
