| SUA | Student Union Assembly Official group that represents the undergraduates at UCSC. 3 of the 6 officers voted in to postitions on SUA are MEChistAs, and MEChA also has an official representative in the space, along with APISA, A/BSA, SANAI, ESOC, and the Network, as well as 3 reps. from each college. |
| SWCJ | Student & Worker Coalitoin for Justice Coalition of workers and students, including MEChA, who work in solidarity on issues that affect both workers and students. Started in the 04-05 school year, which included a successful contract campaign for AFSCME which included a rally/protest that shut down UCSC for a day. |
| TWANAC | Third World And Native American Collective Coalition of students of color started in the 70’s primarily to work on getting Third World and Native American Studies (Ethnic Studies, Pan African or Black Studies, Asian American Studies, Chicana/o or Raza Studies, Native American Studies). Conducted a hunger strike at UCSC in 1981 which got the administration to promise the implementation of an Ethnic Studies, which has not been delivered to this day. Later became ESOC. |
