About Me: |
Raised in Oakland, I became aware of what it meant to be a part of different communities. Diversity was a thorough part of my daily experience. In essence, we are all advocates of social change, but I think I realized that within institutions of higher education, we are not critical of our previous learning experiences. We can articulate advocacy through education that serves communities that are oppressed and are not the focus of learning. We must prioritize our experiences across race and ethnicity within classrooms, supporting movements from students of color, and recognize class differences. In solidarity and in struggle! |
