Information:
Name:
Wassup my name is Anna Lizette Arayata Hernandez but I like to go by plain ole Anna or Anna Banana by close friends.
Hometown:
I was born in the PI but I would say my two home towns are Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Castro Valley California. I spent 8 years in both towns so I have plenty of memories and friends in the towns that I call home.
Year:
I'm a 3rd year.
Major:
I'm a sociology and community studies major with a focus in healthcare inequalities.
College Affiliation:
S-T-E-V-E-N-S-O-N! STEVENSON!!!! Represent!
Past/Current Activities & Orgs:
Other than a ton of class I love my home organization APISA (Asian Pacific Islander Student Alliance), they are the funnest and most accepting people I first met on this campus. When I thought there wasn't a place for me, I was lucky enough to find them and really get the urge to help those who don't have the opportunities we've had. I am in their sister retention program known as CUSN (Community Unified Student Network) and all the core members are great! Always welcoming and looking for new ways to better help their community. I also find it nice to get out there in the off campus community and learn new things about the more stigmatized community requiring harm reduction services, which finally brings me to my volunteer work at the Drop In Center run through the SC Aids Project. As busy as I am Iabsolutely love work at e2!!! They are the bombest group of people I could be lucky to work with.
About Me:
I am a half Pinay half Boricuan gal from the Bay AREA! I have lived on both coasts and love to travel anywhere I can whether it's a socal roadtrip, flying to the PI, flying to Puerto Rico, visiting the old pals in Florida or going to NJ to see more family. I really love cooking so watch out Emeril you have some competition! JK jk...other than that you can find out more about me by going to e2 and meeting me!
How did you get involved with eČ?
I came upon working at e2 by one day being asked to go on a Board of Director's retreat by a friend from APISA. Ever since then I learned what e2 was all about and saw the great hearts of all the students that work there. Since then I've been hooked...=)
